I want to blog too!

I'm going to copy Katie! Like her, in the past, I also have wanted to write.

My introductory post will be sharing a bit about my personality profile with you. I will eventually share a type out of what my personality is according to what a recent tarot card reading has said. It's important to establish that I'm not too much of a skeptical person...I'm pretty open-minded.

Most of this blog will probably be about stuff I have read that day but I think it will also be a handy tool to keep in touch with Katie. She is a great person so it only makes sense that I should do my best to keep her as a friend!

Anyway on to the introduction:

If I had to define myself in one word, it just might be introverted. Unfortunately, this being stuck in my own head has made me very shy.

According to the Myers-Briggs test, I'm an INFJ, scoring strong on introversion (I) and judging (J). It's not that I'm a judgemental person but I like to be in control of my life especially when it comes to time. I like to be on time and get stuff off the to do list. This makes me conscientiousness but at the same time I think it has been holding me back in life, interestingly enough. I will probably get into that in another post! For now, I'll just say that it just makes sense my natural partner would be a perceiver (P). I'm lucky to have an ENFP in my life!

Here is a paragraph from online (http://www.purdue.edu/usp/pdfs/mbtiresources/INFJ.pdf) that descibes me as an INFJ:

INFJs are hard to get to know. They have an unusually rich inner life, but they are reserved and tend
not to share their reactions except with those they trust. Because of their vulnerability through a strong
facility to interject, INFJs can be hurt rather easily by others, which, perhaps, is at least one reason they
tend to be private people. People who have known an INFJ for years may find sides emerging which
come as a surprise. Not that INFJs are inconsistent; they are very consist and value integrity. But they
have convoluted, complex personalities, which sometimes puzzle even them.

Also from http://www.infj.org/public/infjness.html:

  • may find it easier to express their deepest feelings and sentiments non-verbally or in writing

  • enjoy thoughtful discussion but dislike arguing for argument's sake, as this often degenerates into ugly conflict

  • are bookworms, love bookstores and libraries

  • love personality tests and other self-improvement tools

  • love quotes/quotations and are often "philosophers" or "theologists"   ;)

  • are interested in ESP, paranormal, "new age," or psychic experiences

  • often have "oceanic" memories where details are recalled through intuitive leaps and thought association

  • Well, enough about me for now. I'm now just wondering if in the INFJ/ENFP tandem if Im the cat or the bird? haha
